MukAway teams up with Rotherham's OAC Environmental to cover 150-mile radius 

MukAway has started a new collaboration with Rotherham-based OAC Environmental Limited, which will act as a broker for the material-matching platform across a 150-mile radius. 

OAC Environmental carries out earth moving and supplies aggregates across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Led by Tom Batley, the firm will now also represent MukAway to housebuilders, developers, main contractors and groundworks firms across the area, helping site teams get on the platform and start moving surplus soils to where they are needed. 

The collaboration comes as MukAway continues to grow at pace. The platform now covers more than 1,000 sites, with 103 companies signed up and 1.4 million m³ of material listed. Recent signings include GRAHAM Group, Keepmoat Scotland and Westbourne Civil Engineering. 

MukAway matches donor and receiver sites, so material that would once have gone to landfill goes straight to the next job instead. Its direct haulage link, launched this month, lets developers and contractors book movements in a few clicks, with hauliers on the network picking up jobs direct. Every movement is logged, with compliance records and an ESG dashboard showing the carbon and cost savings.
