MukAway shortlisted at the National Recycling Awards 2026

MukAway has been shortlisted at the MRW National Recycling Awards 2026.

The shortlisting recognises the platform's work to change how construction manages its materials and waste. 123 construction companies now use MukAway on their sites.

Winners will be announced on 1 December at the Royal Lancaster London.

Construction has never changed its habits quickly. We know that as we've got over 70 years of boots of the ground experience in our team. For decades, waste has meant a skip, a wagon and someone else's problem. Material strategies have not been joined up between sites, and circular reuse has rarely been on the agenda.

MukAway set out to change that long-standing behaviour. Its platform brings companies together so that material leaving one site can be reused on another, with collaboration now happening between businesses that had never worked that way before.

The result is behaviour change on real sites, not a green badge on a tender document.

Fraser Linaker, CEO of MA EnviroTech Group, said: "Congratulations to the whole MukAway team. We couldn't make this happen without them.

"It has taken relentless work and hard effort, and everyone is pulling towards the same vision. To have that buy-in right across the business is amazing, and it is the reason we are on this shortlist.

"This is another step, not the finish line. We've still got so much to do. Thank you to every company that has backed us, and to the judges at MRW."

The shortlisting comes in a busy month for the business. Its new digital tracking software got under way this week, giving companies a digital record of their waste movements.

It also follows MukAway being named national champion at the NCE Awards.

Sustainability, recycling and reuse sit at the heart of the business, and the team will be at the Royal Lancaster London on 1 December to hear the result. Fraser Linaker, Stephen Newton, Ian Cheveau, Ahmed Hamdi and Ryan Higgins will represent MukAway on the night.
